What Exactly is Reiki?
A Japanese form of alternative medicine, Reiki has been passed down from generations using "healing energy" to cure ailments.
"Rei" meaning "soul or spirit" combined with "ki" meaning "vital energy", practitioners use "palm healing" to send universal healing energy and encourage emotional and/or physical relief.
And now we can offer "Distance Reiki Healing" from the comfort of your own home! This means that the treatment is received the same way that it would be in person, since energy can transcend distance, time or space.
So, what can you expect during a Reiki session?
Of all the spa services we offer, many are shocked to learn of the immense healing power and calming effects Reiki really has to offer.
Most people will find the session to be very calming and will experience an amazing sense of relaxation and peace, and you may even fall asleep! You may experience a warm or cool tingling sensation throughout your body, you may have an emotional response or you might not feel anything at all. All of these experiences are completely normal.
Reiki Masters Lisa and Judy have been practicing this form of alternative medicine for over 20 years and have worked with clients all over the world. They are ready to help you see the amazing benefits this treatment has to offer!

Level 1 Reiki is a practitioner's initiation into Reiki and is open to anyone. The focus during Level 1 is on opening the energy channels on a physical level, allowing the practitioner to connect to the universal life force energy, which flows through all of us.
Level 2 gives students the skills to practice reiki on others and open energy channels more deeply. Students also receive their symbols during this level. There are 5 symbols used in Reiki and each one corresponds to a specific energy (power, harmony, distance, mastery, and completion). Students will learn to use these symbols to bring the universal energy of Reiki into their everyday lives in more practical ways.
The Reiki Master Level (or the Third Degree) is traditionally considered the teacher's level, and Masters are able to walk away and attune new Reiki practitioners. However, many receive the Master attunement, along with the corresponding symbol, yet don't feel comfortable or practiced in properly attuning others—hence the distinction between Third Degree and Reiki Master.
The Reiki levels provide a general organization of the progression of Reiki mastership.
